SSAM (Site Suitability Assessment for Mussel) is a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) under the Inland Aquatic Resources Research Division (IARRD) to identify potential sites for mussel culture in the Philippines and develop a database using geospatial technology such as Remote Sensing and GIS. This is being implemented by the Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology, University of the Philippines Diliman and College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas
